Comedy Prize Announces Seven Finalists for 2022
For the first time. Comedy Prize expands comedy lineup during Prize Fest
SHREVEPORT, LA - Comedy Prize announced the seven finalists for their 2022 competition
during a live broadcast on August 16. Comedy fans and members of the Prize Family joined to
watch the reveal of the lucky few that will get the opportunity to bring their talent to the prize
stage. For the third year, aspiring comedians will compete against other up-and-coming
creatives for a chance to win $2,500.
“Last year, we put the Comedy Prize rocket on the launchpad, this year we send this thing into
orbit,” Said Gregory Kallenberg, Executive Director of the Prize Foundation, “Not only did we
expand this showcase to seven comedians, but we also have one of the best lineups out there. I
hope we get to see everyone in October at Comedy Prize during Prize Fest!”
Contestants submitted short clips of live stand-up sets and the finalists were hand-selected by a
group of entertainment industry professionals from across the country. These 5 comedians will
perform a 7-10 minute set during the second weekend of Prize Fest on October 22, 2022 at the
Big Top Tent (700 Block of Texas St. in Downtown Shreveport). A nationally-recognized panel of
Judges will determine this year's winner such as Bart Coleman (Head of Comedy at Moment
House), Emilie Laford (The Comedy Store Director of Talent ), and Josh Lieberman (Manager at
3 Arts Entertainment).
