BPCC TO CELEBRATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE WEEK APRIL 1-5

Bossier Parish Community College is excited to announce its plans to celebrate Community College Week, April 1-5.

The purpose of Louisiana Community College Week is to inform prospective students of all ages about the colleges, programs offered, and the potential careers that those programs can develop them for. BPCC has planned events for current and prospective students to learn about the college’s course offerings, certification and degree programs, admissions process, and financial aid. Campus tours are also available each day and can be scheduled at www.bpcc.edu/tour.


Community College Week events include:

MONDAY, APRIL 1 - SOCIAL MEDIA MONDAY

  • Share your stories of what you love most about BPCC using the hashtags #CCweek24 & #BPCCproud!
  • Student Organization Fair - First Floor of Building F (Bossier Campus)
  • Campus Tours

TUESDAY, APRIL 2 – TWINNING TUESDAY!

  • Come dressed as twins with your best friend and show off using the hashtags #CCweek24 & #BPCCproud!
  • High School Tour Day #1 - Cavalier Express will be hosting group tours for the area high schools as well (specific times to be announced)
  • Student Organization Fair - First Floor of Building F (Bossier Campus)
  • Campus Tours - Schedule Here

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3 –MAROON & GOLD DAY!

  • Show your school spirit by dressing in Maroon and Gold, or your favorite BPCC apparel! Show off using the hashtags #CCweek24 & #BPCCproud!
  • Student Organization Fair - First Floor of Building F (Bossier Campus)
  • Transfer Fair - Building F (Bossier Campus) from 10am to 1:30pm
  • Campus Tours

THURSDAY, APRIL 4 – THROWBACK THURSDAY!

  • Come dressed up in your favorite outfit from the past- it can be decade-themed, or whatever you wish! Dust off those old bell bottoms and show off using the hashtags #ccweek24 & #bpccproud! Share your favorite memory during your time at BPCC using the hashtags #CCweek24 & #BPCCproud!
  • High School Tour Day #2 - Cavalier Express will be hosting group tours for the area high schools as well (specific times to be announced)
  • Student Organization Fair - First Floor of Building F (Bossier Campus)
  • BPCC Night Tours - 4pm to 8pm - Schedule a Tour
  • Nursing and Allied Health Open House - 4pm to 6pm in Building H (Bossier Campus)
    • Tour our state-of-the-art simulation lab
    • Learn more about our programs, including Surgical Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Practical Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Nursing, Medical Office Specialist, Medical Assistant, Fire Science, Electrocardiograph (ECG)/Telemetry, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Office Specialist

FRIDAY, APRIL 5 – FRIENDSGIVING FRIDAY!

  • Cavaliers are caring people, and we want to give back! Come support your local food banks by donating your unopened, non-expired non-perishable food items!
    • Food Drive- First Floor of Building F (Bossier Campus)
  • Share a picture of a new friend you’ve made while at BPCC, using the hashtags #CCweek24 & #BPCCproud!

BPCC offers associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates and technical competency areas in pathways such as healthcare, computer technology, manufacturing, business, and general studies. BPCC’s Maymester begins May 14th with the summer sessions beginning May 30th.
