Bossier City Lions Club Awards Scholarships

The Bossier City Lions Club is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of its prestigious Bossier City Lions Club Scholarship for the academic year 2025. This scholarship program exemplifies our unwavering commitment to fostering education and supporting outstanding individuals in their pursuit of academic excellence. Each year, the Bossier City Lions Club awards one student in each of the Bossier Parish High Schools a $1,500 scholarship for a total of $9,000 being awarded.

The Bossier City Lions Club Scholarship, established over 50 years ago, is a merit-based scholarship aimed at recognizing and encouraging students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievements, leadership qualities, and a strong commitment to community service. Through this program, The Bossier City Lions Club seeks to contribute to the development of future leaders and professionals who will make meaningful contributions to society.

This year’s recipients are: Gary Zheng (Airline High School), Hannah Sims (Benton High School), Evelyn Grace-Bamburg (Bossier High School), Kinsley Brotherton (Haughton High School), Caroline Dennis (Parkway High School), and Alayne Lambka (Plain Dealing High School).

The Bossier City Lions Club quickly became a cornerstone of the community, organizing events, fundraisers, and service projects. The club focused on initiatives such as vision care, youth programs, and support for those in need. The Bossier City Lions Club was chartered in 1927 and has been supporting the Lions motto of "WE SERVE" for nearly 100 years.
